Caravan insurance (do you bother + how much?)
Discussion
Afternoon all,
My wife and I have just bought our first caravan (a 1995 Elddis Hurricane for £1495 if anyone is interested)
We have been looking at caravan insurance, and current quote is about £90 for the year for £2300 worth of cover (£1500 for the caravan, £500 for equipment and £300 for personal items)
Now my question is; Do you bother with insuring your caravan? and if so how much do you pay (roughly)
Any help or pointers will be greatly received
Regards
Matt

If it wiggled a bit then fell over underway, got nicked or caught fire, that's £90 well spent surely?
btw, I really can't picture you as a caravanner
Ah I have finally been rumbled by someone that actually knows me btw, I really can't picture you as a caravanner
I get your point wozza, won't be a real caravanner per say, just the weekend getaway and stay dry shelter! And also some luxury Le mans camping this year!
Had our first van stolen from a "secure" storage site along with 3 others.
Insurance paid out within a few weeks full market value plus a generous amount for equipment.
So I would say it is worth it.
Presently have a 2006 Bailey insured for £8k with eqipment and pay about £170.
Its stored at a CL.
