Eastern France campsite recommendations
Discussion
Planning our summer trip and got loads of books but it's hard work wading through them. So after some recommendations.
First couple of nights we fancy around Reims
Then eight days or so near Pontarlier or Besancon, Lac Neuchatel
the four days Metz
and finally 3 days in Bruges.
Mileage seems to be 250ish between locations so definitely do-able.
Anyone been to any good sites in those areas or better still recommend some to avoid?
there's just the two of us and dog and we prefer "nice" sites rather than full of kids.

For reims I can recommend staying in Epernay (champagne capital) and staying at the municipal site there, not a bad place to stay and very helpful camp staff!

Stayed a bit further south of Reims, near Troye at Lac d'Orient for 1 night on our way down to watch the Tour de France.
Very good facilities, food and vin de payes!

The municipal in Metz is great:

Nice riverside spot, and about 5 mins walk from town centre, so you can go for a drink or meal without worrying about driving.
