What is this called?

I used to have a " thing " that plugged into my cigar lighter ( permanently live ). I then plugged my 12v fridge into this. It would then cut off the fridge if the car battery went so low that it wouldn't start.

What is this called? I've tried Maplin and Halfords with no luck.

Thanks, but no. I think a inverter changes 12v to 240v. This is 12v to 12v but with a low voltage cut out.
