Hi
Are there any Insurance Comparison sites for motorhomes ?

Have got a Coachbuilt Flash 03 based on a 2008 Transit. Currently insured with MHF who were cheap, but have horrendous customer service and would hate to have to deal with them in the event of a claim.

So looking for a new insurance company, now the big fly in the ointment is we live pretty close to Manchester City Centre with a postcode that many insurance companies refuse to quote for. So the ability to just enter all my details once and get some quotes would be great, rather than endless ringing only to find its a joke quote at the end as they dont want to provide cover.

Any advice welcome

Cheers

Andy :-)

Don't know about a single site, but I'm Manchester area and have only found Comfort and Safegaurd to be competitive, and I've tried quite a few.

Been with "Caravan Guard" for my motorhome for the last two years. Very helpful staff and pretty competitive.
Never seen a comparison website for vans/motorhomes though.

Thanks both for the replies.
Just incase anyone is looking for the same, GoCompare caravan section seemed to work, though only 5 quotes out of about 20 companies, rest listed as unable to quote. Interestingly one refused to quote due to my alterations, the only alteration I have made is Reversing Camera, which most other insurance companies demanded I have.

Websites to avoid are
http://www.insurance-choice.net
http://www.insurancefactory.co.uk

spend ages on both sites filling out pages of info, to then find they dont give a quote, they just ask get insurance companies to email/ring you who then just ask for all the infomation all over again !!! Very Frustrating.

Has anyone used Staveley Head ? they coming out as cheapest at the moment, £550 compared to MHF wanting nearly £900.

Cheers

This.

I pay around £350 for a two year old Elddis motorhome, (with full ncb) but obviously depends on your location and circumstances..

Never had a claim though..that's the acid test.....
