Day van insurance

We are in the process of converting our van but we are struggling as it isn't really a panel and van, nor is it quite a camper. Hopefully we will have it converted by next summer but the insurance is due next month and the quotes we've had so far have all been daft for varying reasons;
- Too young (under 30)
- Oldham postcode
- Its not a VW!
- Its modified

So if anyone is in a similar position and could offer some advice it would be gratefully received.

You tried A-Plan? They do specific day van insurance and I got a really good deal on my VW. Well worth a call. Greenlight or Flux are also worth checking.
