Motorhome - Cover for Winter or not ?

Have a Chausson Flash Coachbuilt 2008. Now its turning cold, plan to park up for winter. This is the first year we had a motorhome so apologies for the newbie question.
It came with a Huge cover, but not sure if I should fit it, or leave the cover off so it "breathe" and aso means I can regularly check the inside for condensation/damp/leaks etc.
Luckily we can park it on the drive so can leave it hooked up for batteries and fridge.
So is it always best to totally cover it ? Also other than drain everything, open all the doors and cupboards for air flow and keep an eye out for leaks is there anything else I should do ?

This is an interesting topic for me as well as this is my first winter with a motor home, I have drained all the water and left the taps open, I am also planning on taking out the cushions and mattresses to store in the house,
I have not covered mine, a neighbour also had a MH and they have a massive cover over the whole thing, it looks a good option but I would worry about it flapping about and scratching the paint and it being noisy in the wind.
I am going to leave mine as is but the roof is already getting a bit manky and water pools a bit so a good clean will be needed in the spring.
Any other tips would be good.

Definitely don't cover it, absolutely no need, but about once a month give it a quick exterior wash, especially the roof as sometimes green moss can take a hold, the best time to clean it is straight after a very heavy downpour, the dirt comes off easily as it has been "softened up"...
I run an electric lead into the motorhome power socket from the house and run a smallish dehumidifier full time over the winter, it usually collects about a bucketful of moisture every 24 hrs, (except in dry freezing conditions).......where would this water go?...straight into the interior walls and ceiling causing possible damp issues, one of the biggest problems with caravans and motorhomes...

Try and slope it so water runs off the roof.
I run a dehumidifier once a week at weekend and use a couple of pack ones the rest of the time.
I have read using a heater can promote mould rather than prevent it, if you don't have good air flow.
