Folding campers?
Discussion
Does anyone have one / had one?
I'm seeing some very cheap stuff at this time of year (not surprising really), but don't know if it would be fit for purpose. Are they easy t set up? Comfortable? Good compromise between caravan and tent? Any comments gratefully received. We're a family of 4 (two small kids), so built in loo makes life a LOT easier.

We have just brought a folding camper and love it!
Setting up the main unit can be done in around 20 minutes including the curtains. Add another 40 minutes for the awning.
Not all models have a toilet but we wouldn't buy one without as we have a 5 year old.
The biggest compromises compared to a caravan are insulation (heat and sound) and we dont have an internal shower.
However they are easier and cheaper to tow, easy to store and cheaper to insure and service.
We can also pitch anywhere!
Plus you don't feel the urge to watch TV all night like other tin can owners
