Found in our newly acquired caravan is this gizmo...

Does anyone have a clue as to what it might have been used for? Something water-y I guess but what? It's only about a cm in diameter.

Looking on the small screen of my phone, it looks like the detachable pulling handle for an aquaroll water carrier, maybe?

Interesting idea but way too small (about a foot long) - and it's a rubber tube atached to the 'wand' so even if there was a longer bit, I don't think it would be up to pulling.

Although we do have two aquarolls but no handles! smile

Think you'll find it's the pipe that goes from the Aquaroll to the water inlet on the side of the van

Nope, the end is all wrong. The only inlet is the combined water/12V fitting for the submersible water pump.

Seems to have been identified on a caravanning forum as an historic pipe used to pump from a jerrycan via a floor mounted pump back in the '70s!

Might just keep it till after the first trip though in case I find there was a cunning use for it!

Would have to agree mate - I was thinking about the water connection we had on our old static van when I was a youngster.

I knew it well as it was my job to collect the water smile

They may have used it as a syphon pipe between the two aquarolls to allow one to empty into the other.
