Really good lantern - cheap?

We're after a cheap lantern for the tent that we can hang and will provide a good spread of light. Anyone got any recommendations from personal experience? What with all the 1800 lumens bicycle lights available from China on Ebay, there must be something with the illumination qualities of the Sun out there?
