Always worth a look when Lidl do these things - a fair bit is tat, but there's the odd bit of quality branded kit sold in a Lidl brand box. Nothing there jumping out at me on this one though.

Why do I like that generator? I dont need a generator. Why do I have a compulsion to go and buy that generator?

I really do need to have a word with my inner hillbilly.

The Lidl porta loo is usually a rebranded Thetford model and is usually a very good price if you're in the market for a bog!

I am tempted by the generator as well, although I know my wife would be distinctly unimpressed if I bought it!

They had an Arc welder which I had to stop myself getting as the missus wouldn't be happy and I also don't have anything to weld.

The solar charger looks like good value.

Only 2000mah capacity though - less than a single charge for most phones, so unless you're in bright sunlight you can kiss goodbye to any charging. Better off with a battery pack - they come in around 6000mah.

I also like the look of the generator. Useful for camping trips and a back-up for any future power cuts.

For £12 it'll do in a pinch I suppose.

I'd rather spend the extra £8 and get this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/TeckNet%C2%AE-External-Sen...

I've got the older version and I use it all the time. And it goes without saying it gets chucked in the bag when I'm going camping.
