I spend too much time and money commuting, and I'm coming up to a very busy period of about 2 months at work. The landlord at work has suggested I buy a caravan, and live there during the week. He'd prefer it to be inside one of the warehouses - I'd rather be outside, although I'll be working most daylight hours.

In principle it seems a good idea, but I've no experience with caravans, and haven't a clue what I'd need. I know what I want, though:

I want to be able to crap and shower in the morning, and I want to be able to sit on my arse and watch TV in the evenings. I don't want to feel cramped or cold. I'll need to be able to cook. I wondered about a static, but my landlord insists it would have to be a tourer.

I've got access to electricity, water and gas from the forklifts - I assume it's the same. There's no budget for this, so it needs to be cheap, and I'd imagine it will be fit to be scrapped or burned after the 2 months. It'll save me a couple of hours and about £15/day in diesel.

What do I need?

Almost every touring caravan can do what you just described as standard, just get one new enough to have a cassette toilet not a porta potti most wil be a cassette.
Damp/leeks arent a huge issue if you are inside so just make sure you see it all working when you pick up.
Circa £500 on ebay should do it.
Use a plug in tv aerial as factory fitted ones are non digi on older vans.

Hopefully he'll get the licence from the council for this.

Me, or the landlord. I'll only be there Monday-Thursday, and II work away a few days a month, so wouldn't be there at all. If I'm honest, I don't really like the idea but I'm knackered all the time the way things are.

Better than a Rover 600. I've seen people using those to sleep in at work.
