Our current satnav likes to try and take us down roads that a gnat would struggle to squeeze through, is there a decent one out there for people towing caravans in the £200 region that will only guide you via suitable roads?

Thanks

Ive just invested in a Snooper VenturaPro S5000.
It pops your budget of £200.00 however, but is specifically for Caravans & motorhomes (it can also be used for cars)
It has a data base of campsites, stop overs, Aires etc and you can input vehicle & trailor length, width, height, wieght and axle wieghts.

The Ventura S5000 is £320 to £349 at most outlets whereas the TomTom Go Live Camper and Caravan is also in the same range at £329.

Having played with most systems you may want to look at the TomTom or even the Garmin system wink

My Zumo 550 must be more than five years old and it has an option to set your vehicle type to Motorcycle, Car or HGV

Surely most have this feature now and know not to send HGVs down tiny roads? Or have I totally misunderstood the purpose of this option?

If the OP has a smart phone, take a look at the Navfree app (android); it has settings for vehicle type which include car, motorcycle, cycle, RV/Lorry, transport truck, delivery truck. My paid for Garmin doesn't do that.
