Hi All

Apart from the obvious, piston heads :-)

Could anybody maybe share some stories or advise on selling £49,000 American RV

We have it on all the usual sites but not even had a sniff. Looked around at the competition
and feel the price is very far aswell?

Just wondering if anybody could give us some other ideas on how they sold theres.

Many thanks

John :-)

Not an easy thing to sell, very specialist and the rv market is massively on its derriere.
Im guessing its too old to be under warranty and too young to be a cheap purchase so doubly hard, maybe consider buying a warranty to offer with the sale from m b and g or similar?
Leftfield ideas, take it to a motorhome show for the weekend plastered in signs or similar to a country music event?

Most motorhome/RV shows explicitly ban private sales. I saw one RV kicked of the showground when he refused to take the for sale sign down. Motor sports events are a possibility though. Have you tried any of the RV sites. RVOC.co.uk charge a tenner a year or arvclub.co.uk is a free forum for American RVs.

The pips touched on Motorsport, thats where I would be advertising it, (along with the mainstream locations).
Motorsportads & Racecarsdirect are 2 that spring to mind

Hi it's not going to help this but i'm in the process of looking for a motor-home, but can't understand why anyone would want a yank style rv/furniture lorry..the style (generally gaudy) and economy of the engines makes me run a mile.

I Think it depends very much on what RV you choose. Our one has LPG and the mpg is
great with that, consideribng its a hotel on wheels lol

They are not all gas guzzling coaches.
Mine is based on Mercedes Sprinter 2.7 Auto diesel high 20s mpg, slide out,on board genny, big tanks for fresh ,waste, black water.
Drives great and only 25ft long.
Love it.
