Month in France/Spain

Brave man. Hope your crossing is better than ours was last year. The only one that wasn't sick was the dog. Mrs Nutsy decided to go that way rather than driving through France for 2 or 3 days.
She soon changed her mind - never again (or something similar between retching across the Bay of Biscay). Not pleasant.
This year we drive through France from Caen down to Spain.

Did the crossing to Santanda a couple of years back. Bay of Biscay was great on the way out .......... but on the way back
We don't suffer with 'mal de mer' either but it was that bad it was almost impossible to stand - beers might not have helped though
When we did it there was a filling station right by the exit to the port that had reasonable diesel prices - can't remember about petrol but assume they must have been competitive as well.
Food on the ferry was excellent and from memory sensibly priced.
Have a good trip

Cheers - will just have to cross our fingers about the sea conditions. Don't want it too flat as we plan to surf a lot once we get there! We don't suffer with 'mal de mer' either but it was that bad it was almost impossible to stand - beers might not have helped though

Upat: It's all booked now; we're Cornwall based to Calais is a looooong drive! We did Oban then Mull last August and that was a big drive with a 1 and a 3 year old. Trying to avoid too much driving this time even though the camper is great for big mile munching.
