Suddenly gone quiet. No-one have snow tyres on their caravan then? Propane gas in the locker? Lagged water barrels? hehe

We had one customer in all day today, one! No sales calls either!
Every year this happens, the start of nov is busy then its like someone flicks a switch and the customers disappear, how do you all manage to synchronise it though? 6th sense? Radio signals?
Taking the scrabble in tomorrow and commencing the winter showroom cricket season!

My local dealer seems to be doing OK but he did say that he is expecting things to pick up in Dec and Jan due to local shows.

We arrived on site this morning in Burnham on Sea, Somerset, and are here until Thursday. Went to watch the fireworks tonight and off to watch the carnival tomorrow. Our next break is over the New Year.

Januarys always a good month for us but decembers dead which isnt helped by the northern climate and a temporary lack of showroom.
Oddly all the customers this weekend have wanted van conversions, these normally slow down in the winter n the big stuff for over wintering abroad shifts instead, small is the new big it seems.

I went to chat with them @ the NEC show to ask about one with a decent garage. "Not what our customers are looking for" was the response I got. They are focusing on the older market so take your pipe and slippers with you!

Took the bus over to Norfolk for some canoeing 2 weeks ago. Was cold but good fun. We have closed our campsite for the winter though.

Spooky, just sold one of that exact model today, very good bits of kit and fully winterised so no problem if it gets sub zero.

On gajons point bailey are typically english in thinking, they just cant grasp the garage concept or even the desirability of big storage like the europeans/some english brands but their model range is very small so maybe this will change, they're very very good sellers though.

I would say this forum is just coming in to season. I love camping in the winter, especially a snow camp.

Me and mates off are going trudging through mid wales in Dec. We've managed to plan a route that stops off in farmers fields, each overnight stop within stones throw of a country pub, nothing like a nice warm fire and a load of pints after a winter walk smile

Lovely, cant wait.
