Blaupunkt Travelpilot Lucca 5.2
Discussion
Hi all - had this posted in Sat Nav but got. O reply so will try here too.
My parents have a Peugeot Motorhome that has a Blaupunkt Travelpilot sat nav system which also acts as the screen for the reversing camera.
They want to upgrade the maps on the system but don't know where to start looking.
I had a look at the Blaupunkt website which directs you to either TomTom, Navteq and one other mapping company but I couldn't see their device listed.
There is a system upgrade available on the BP website but this didn't work either.
Are they better off investing in a TomTom or other more standard system and can they have this also to support the reversing camera or can they simply update the BP ?
Cheers

The Blaunpunkts were factory fitted on a lot of Swifts and Autocruise (Guess your parents is an Autocruise if its the Pug) circa 07-09, they were pretty much obsolete straight away so you cant get bits for them, they are very rare new old stock and they are a pain in the arse!
We run into quite a few vans coming through at work with them not working, not the end of the world unless they are the camera monitor too in which case you have to rewire the camera to a new monitor.
If they can budget for it Id get the camera wired to a new, bigger mirror mount monitor and get one of the snooper Motorhome Satnavs.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not a motorhome expert - but understand they have a "Swift" so perhaps not Peugeot based - anyway . . . . . .
They do use the Sat Nav screen as the camera monitor - so I guess the only choices are as you suggest and rewiring the camera monitor, or keep the Blaupunkt purely for the reversing camera and buy a cheap TomTom or similar for navigation purposes.

I had one of these in my swift m'home but didn't work properly . Had a look at getting it sorted but but in the end had a moniter fitted near rvmirror which is on all the time giving a great constant rear view, brill for towing/reversing and general driving.
Use our tom tom for satnav which is a zillion times better anyway

Defo the best option and with the mirror mount monitor you can leave it always in place unlike the dash/satnav ones.Use our tom tom for satnav which is a zillion times better anyway
