Have managed a few days off next week, any recommendations in the Thetford Forest area, will be 4 of us camping in two largish tents, with two small dogs.

More importantly anywhere to avoid, have found a couple but you have to provide your own toilet, don't fancy that much.

Does it have to be Thetford forest?
Only reason I ask is that Kelling heath in North Norfolk (45 mins extra driving from Thetford) is as great place to be and with lots of great walks/bike rides in the area etc + great facilities on site.

Kelling heath can be exspensive. Drive a further 5 minutes or so and stay a Manor Farm. Brill place 5 min walk to sea foot. Great site and good clean toilets and showers etc.

I know it's a little late for the OP, but my friend owns/runs this site. I'm not too sure what the camping is like, but he's a really nice bloke (and a top trials rider), and the setting is amazing so would be worth a call if you're looking in this area.

Title gave me a hell of a fright. My toilet is a Thetford, didn't realise they came from a forest! Must be bloody strange looking trees!
