Trying to repair a couple of fly screens, the old ones were ripped beyond repair. I have the replacement netting which I have tried to stick with super glue, but no joy. Any suggestions on what glue would work?

Would a double sided adhesive tape be more effective?

at the risk of sounding girly, could you not stitch them together? I've patched small holes in ours by hand, doesn't look as if it'd be too difficult with your larger panels?

There is nothing to stitch, the old screen was torn completely, basically rotten. The frame the screen is attached to is only a couple of mm thick so stapling isn't an option either. I am trying some different glue and a number of clothes pegs, pictures to follow.

How about gluing a thin dowelling or suchlike on top of the mesh? The glue will actually bond with the plastic under the mesh, holding it in place.

I used a glue gun for ours but it's difficult not to get messy.
Mine was a temp repair job of one small part, not the whole thing
