Camping air beds
Discussion
Now the weather looks as though it finally might be changing, we might actually be able to go camping this summer! We've got most of the gear that we need, the main thing we've still not got is something to sleep on.
So, does anyone have any recommendations for double air beds or camping beds?

Go Outdoors were selling single airbeds for under seven quid when we went there a month ago and doubles for £13
Go Outdoors are great. The £5 membership opens up so many deals and it's pretty decent kit. Not sure I'd be mounting an expedition to the Sahara etc, but for a UK or Europe camping trip, their gear is great.Bought one of these for LM this year and it was very easy to blow up (60secs), and stayed inflated throughout the weekend. However, it was bought at a massive discount, so don't know if you could get it cheaper elsewhere:

We've a coleman double airbed - smashing, as it's two separate chambers so a) one person doesn't get boinged out of bed when the other turns over and b) if one side goes a bit flat, you don't BOTH spend the night on the deck. or , depending! They're a bit pricey but they have a 1yr guarantee.
Don't forget to put a blanket or something between the bed and your sleeping bag. I suffered for ages getting cold at night till I realised it was the air in the bed that was getting cold and chilling me to the bone. Blanket added, no problems at all now.

I have a Coleman double as well and its lovelly. I also have 2 single ones that were from Tesco which I use when sharing my tent with mates which are also very good.
If you don't need light small equipment then I wouldn't bother with Thermarests and the like (I bought one when I had an Elise due to size).
Buy an electric pump you plug into the lighter socket as well.
