As the tittle says what is the best 3 - Man tent out there at the moment.
Mine was left on the IOW last weekend so needs replacing.
I was looking at the Vango Omega 350 ?
Any thoughts anyone ?
Probably won't be used for walking trips, maybe on the back of a motorbike but more than likely quick weekend trips with the kids.
We have a huge Vango Diablo 900 for family holidays.
Thanks all !

Would look at the Macpac range, a Hemisphere, or some of the North Face tents (VE25 or Bastion 4)

I've ha an omega 350 for three years. It's been ace. We used it for camping (my gf and I) and its great.

Weve also used it for 4 weeks camping on a motorcycle around scandanavia. It rained solidly for two of those weeks so we were packing and unpacking a wet tent! Came home, cleaned it in Milton. Came up fine. No smell.

Nice big porch for your kit. Easy to pitch. Only three poles. Very sturdy. Nice and spacious for two. The only problem is there's not enough room to stand up in. It also packs up small for putting on a bike.

I'd recommend it.

Go for Vaude mark 2 or 3. Looks a bid funny at first, but a fantastic piece of kit.

Looks like the Omega is the replacement for the Equinox. I'm on my second Equinox (its a 350 rather than 250) and despite using lots of other tents on occasions, whenever I use the equinox I'm pleased with what a great package it is. Comfortable for 2 + kit, reasonably light, very weather proof, easy to put up. My current one is 12 years old, I probably do 20 nights a year in it, and (maybe thanks to annual reproofing) it's in great condition (although one of the poles is permanently bent after a very windy night on the coast...)
