Saw one of these for the first time in the auction at Classics at the castle Sherbourne last year. It sold for about 15k which didn't seem much for a large vehicle.
They just seem a great combination of old school style with US comfort and useability. Perhaps a little large for this country but the rear double bedroom would create a great place to wake up on a summers morning pointed out to sea.
This sort of thing http://www.airstreamclassifieds.com/showproduct.ph...

or a 345 which is what sold

Anyone got one or had one? My folks have had motorhomes for years and we spent may happy holidays as kids in a Sherpa or VW but this would be just that bit more stylish but take a bit more polishing!

They do seem to hold their value, maybe as more of a fashion Icon now?

I wouldnt mind driving one over here, wouldnt phase me, but I think id begrudge paying that much for such an old vehicle

I know a guy who had one. Although it obvously had loads of space, the biggest problem for him was access to some UK camp sites. Some he just couldn't get in through the entrance and in others he had to do jiggey pokery like taking off the mirrors or going in through the exit gate to get in. In the end he chopped it in for a smaller one.

I'd say they are too big for sensible use in the UK - I saw this one in Wales. There were at least 20 miles of roads I drove that day that it wouldn't fit down, and had the car-park been full it wouldn't have fit in there either.
