If you want big, lots of facilities, amusements and a club house then this is not for you.
If you want peaceful, small, decent toilet block/shower, 15 min walk to the sea that is "children safe", dog friendly (up to two dogs), and relatively cheap for what it is (£188/wk peak season including electric hook up and a digital TV feed) in West Wales then read on.....

Went here a couple of weeks back. Vaenol Farm in Tywyn.
Nicely kept, decent little shop on site, clean showers/toilets & only £5 per person, per night for a tent.

If you want a basic campsite by beautiful beaches, with glorious scenery and a pub within walking distance, then I can totally recommend Fidden at Fionnephort on the Isle of Mull.

Our favourite campsite - just a shame it is so far away - but well worth it.
Actually - forget that, I don't want it getting too popular. It's absolutely rubbish and you definitely shouldn't go there.

The wiki is now a sticky - and to avoid confusion and potential double posts, I'll close this thread so that the Wiki becomes the source of PH'er recommended sites.Gassing Station | Tents, Caravans & Motorhomes | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
