Best navigation devices / apps?
Discussion
Passed my Class 1 a couple of months ago and have been doing some agency work here and then (mostly trunking), alongside some tipper work in a 4 axle rigid for a local aggregate company doing quarry runs.
I'm greatly enjoying it so far, but what navigation apps / devices are drivers on here using? I've been pretty satisfied so far by an app called Road Kings, which uses Tomtom navigation with accurate height and weight restricted roads.

My go to is still Co-Pilot on an android tablet. Used it all over Europe and the heights, weights and routing etc have been really good. It's only failed me once, in southern Ireland. But then I ignored the 'buses turn right here' sign and then the 'trucks turn right here' sign too, so I am far from blameless in that particular scenario.
Other than that it's been faultless, and is plenty customisable in terms of alerts etc. and the live traffic subscription is well worth the £15 a year or so extra. It has the usual 'fastest', 'shortest' options for routing but also has a 'practical' option which keeps you on larger roads with simpler routes. You can also bias your preferences for each class of road, and set your average speeds.

The cheap sat nav from Xgody are pretty good. I used them all over Europe, get the one with 8gb memory.
Only fault was they don't bounce if dropped out of the cab ! Neither do any of the other makes!
Just for normal use I have an old updated Snooper and a Garmin Nuvi ,plus Waze on a tablet.
