Pickup trucks.
Discussion
Talk to me about pick up trucks, the time has come to replace my disco 3! I did think about a disco 4, but I really like the idea of a separate load area, so I don’t continually smell of red diesel and creosote. Agri/highways fencing contractor by trade.
I’m looking at 2016+ ford Rangers, and Np300 navaras. I know that people rave about hilux’s, but my budget would only get me a low spec 2.5 with sensible miles, and due to the amount of time I spend in it, I’d like a few comforts. Towing ability is a big factor for me, and the stats on the hilux’s seem a bit weedy, especially coming from a D3.
What are the d’maxs like? I’ve seen a few amaroks with sensible miles in budget too?

Take your time choosing & checking any potential vehicle, they can get an absolute battering in daily use. We use ours in the utility sector carrying heavy / awkward materials up and down dale with hours on end sitting idling and in my experience none of them (possible exception of the Hilux) like a high mileage giving problems once over 100k. The bodywork can look fine but they’ve had a hard shift mechanically.
