E-Transit - Anyone own/drive one?
Discussion
The new one seems surprisingly competitive (against diesel) and useable, we are considering it for our guys.
Obvious points would be having a workplace installed decent charger and not doing nationwide motorway trips. Also consider the whole solar / battery charging scenario. Leccy grid prices are very variable.
End of the day your company is unlikely to be saving thousands, if anything at all, but -
It’s the future, so may as well start learning now.

We are currently looking for an electric van for our company, but need a decent range and decent size too, hence the E Transit has come out top for both.
Keen to find out if anyone here has driven one and can provide some real world thoughts on it with regards to range.
Currently have one on test. Happy to answer any questions you may have.Keen to find out if anyone here has driven one and can provide some real world thoughts on it with regards to range.

Brilliant, key questions are regarding payload and realistic range. Keen to find out whilst you've got one on test how you're finding payload affecting range. There's a few reports that with electric vans, once you have say perhaps 500kg of payload, the range drops to around only 25-30% of quoted range.ads_4116 said:

Love the SYNC 4 system it has, which is standard. The one I have on test is the lower powered 184PS model in L3 and H2 in the 'Trend' trim level. I don't see much need for the higher powered one to e fair as it drives well. Suspension is a little noisy over really broken surfaces, but the ride is good. My only other criticism would be around the slightly vague steering, but otherwise I'm very impressed so far.
I'll report back with more as the week goes on.
