Just wondering if anyone on here has one?
I ordered a Citroen Berlingo Driver Pro XL with the 130bhp and auto box just before Christmas without even driving one yet.
Just wondered if anyone has any experience of them or working on them? Are they reliable? Are they easy to work on? Are they comfy to sit in all day long?
Any other ownership experiences I should be aware of?

Here’s hoping the newer shape ones, (2020 onwards), are easier to work on.
How have they been for reliability? What are they like to sit in all day long?
I got a new 70 reg. Works van, so fuel card, amnd only BP normal fuel. Got it sometime in March 2021
Almost never carry anything in the rear.
I had a new previous shape one also, before this one.
The first difference I noticed was how easy it stalled, pulling away.
The ride is very hard, with correct tyre pressures.
I drop the pressures to 20 psi rear, and 25 psi front.
Just makes it a bit more bearable.
After 2 - 3 hours, the new seats are like concrete, and just no way to get comfortable.
Cruise is good, so on long motorway trips, hit the cruise, and swing legs sideways to passenger door to relieve the aches.
I got 11,500 miles on the clock, so doing 11000 miles per year.
Fuel consumption is good on a long sensible motorway, and can average 65 mpg over a 400 mile trip, at around 65 mph.
In winter, the average fuel consumption, back and forth to work is 47 mpg
I feel the seats are awful, the legroom is too short, I am 6 foot 1 .
The little square steering wheel is OK, but would prefer it to be round.
I had an option of about 4 similar vans, all really similar.and after the Peugeot Partner before it, I went for another.

Can take some good ragging, will put three figures on the GPS Waze, without too much effort, which is about 113 on the clocks.
Its a bit noisy though, but not as noisy as the previous model PP.

Might as well just use phone, stood up in the speedometer area.

I looked at Fords, (massive waiting lists for factory orders), and VW Caddy’s, (same issue + expensive), which only really left me with Cit / Pug / VX with an auto option.
I’m spending around 9-15 hours a day in the seat depending on how busy I am, so it’s a bit of a bummer to hear about driver comfort on these, although I am a bit shorter than you at 5ft10”.
I’ll see if I can find someone breaking a passenger-car version of one to get the seats swapped over to something hopefully for comfortable, as that’s my biggest gripe with my current Renault Kangoo.
Fuel consumption wasn’t too much of an issue a year ago, but I’m starting to feel the squeeze now. If it returns 35mpg+ I won’t be too disappointed as that’s what I’m getting out of my Kangoo, with a smaller, (70bhp) engine and a manual box.
I have the van packed full length, floor to ceiling most days, but it’s probably only around 350-400kg.
I’m glad to hear about reliability, but not so happy to hear about them being typically ‘French’ to work on, as I expect this van to last me until I retire, (my current Kangoo is 17 years old and holding up well).
Regarding stalling issues, I’ve gone for an auto as most of my driving is stop-start, (multi-drop work).
As seen as you’ve posted a pic of yours, this is the spec, wheelbase and colour I’ve gone for. Pity about the black wheels, but they can easily be re-powdercoated to silver.
Edited to add; delivery was scheduled for June / July, then got pushed back to July / August, and is now said to be August / September.

That's just an identical one I found on Google.
Mine is the same.
They are very light, and very tinny, but I guess thats what gets the good economy.
Mine is all ply lined, and even the ply is like new.
On long runs, 660 miles on a tank is not too hard to get.
Battering around the shops, sees 500 - 525 miles to the tank in summer, 475 in winter, stop start, short 5 mile trips.
Oh, and of a cold icy mornings, they take ages to warm up.
After 5 miles run to work, the temperature just creeps onto the gauge, so cabin is normally cold.
Steel 15 inch wheels, with plastic trims.
Some have 2 sliding doors, mine just has one on the passenger side.
Also, you can tell its very French, as they didn't even bother to change the sunvisors.
The drivers side has the vanity mirror, just as the normally its the passenger side.
Cornering is amazing, it just sits good around massive fast corners, providing you keep full air pressure in the tyres.
I am sure I can get the inside back wheel off the ground sometimes, on a good left hander.
I wont do it now with only half pressure in the tyres.
15 hours a day, your back will break.
I was broken after 3 hours.
Car seats, or a good pillow would help lumber.
The previous PP I had, would blow light bulbs twice a year, common fault they would say, but this new one has had none of these problems, not even a bulb popped.
I would have liked it better if the head unit, would be able to bluetooth the mapping data from my phone, but it needs to be physically plugged into the phone, which is a faf now days to be honest.
The bluetooth for answering calls works well, also get all the notifications for Whats App, and messages also get displayed on the chunky screen.
Has a jack and wheel brace under the passenger seat, in a blue canvas bag thing.
Full size spare winds down from under the cargo area, never had to use it, but its there anyway.
Radio is FM and DAB, all seems to work OK.
When its raining, and using the wipers, then pull up to red traffic lights, the wipers drop down to intermittent, then back to normal on going again.
The electric hand brake works good.
As soon as you switch off, the electric hand brake comes on solid, frightening if your still pulling up, and casually just switch ignition off a second to early, locks the back wheels solid.
The hand brake auto unlocks when you are on an incline, but other than an incline, you need press the brake pedal before the electric hand brake comes off.
The folding mirrors are good, when you get out, and press the fob to lock the doors, the mirrors fold.
Does Not use any oil, it went for 10,000 mile service a couple of weeks ago, oil was still full.
I had to put Ad Blu with 5 liters a 6 months ago, then a month or so ago, I had to fill it up, 10 liters.
So looks like it uses about 10 liters for 10,000 miles.
Don't know if thats good or what, but I dont hang about with it some weeks, as just seem to have no time, or no time at all.
So will get floored and some, and still looking up the exhaust, there isn't 1 dot of carbon.
Absolutely sparkling clean.

Everything I read/watched said buy one, its been flawless its on 18k miles, the local dealer is awful chimps would do a better job, I'am 6'1" and I don't get sore at all I find the driving position spot on there is plenty of room, after a five hours drive I got out with no aches or pains, I'am averaging 40-45mpg doing town driving, my only dislike is the stop start as soon as you lift your foot off the clutch its stopped you have to get used to switching it off before you drive away, Michelin Crossclimate are good on this van, the winter before last we has some heavy snow it never came near to getting stuck.
A guy at work bought the Toyota Proace City (same van) it has a 10 year warranty which is excellent...maybe worth a look.

I did look at the Toyotas, which like you say are the same van underneath.
I can’t remember why I didn’t go for one of those. IIRC it might have been because they didn’t come with the auto box?
A friend of mine recently took delivery of a new top spec caddy van and took me out for a spin and the ride was fking awful. It feels like the rear has no damping at all and really crashes along the road even though all the reviews said it was much more comfortable than previous gens as it is now based on the golf with standard rear shocks and springs. He said it was even worse when he picked it up as it had nearly 50 psi in all the tyres!!
And as a top spec it still lacks aa couple of basics that you would think would be standard these days - No CH/LH lights, no auto wipers, very noisy in the cab and the overall quality is piss poor.
I may be in the market for a similar sized van so might look at the Transit Connect.

Most vans are a bit crashy empty, and the tyre pressures sound normal for a commercial vehicle. They are designed to carry stuff, not be comfortable with no weight in. Try it with half a tonne in the back.gazza285 said:

Try it with half a tonne in the back.The recommended tyre pressures he found were supposed to be 42psi with full load iirc but as he doesnt carry much, he dropped them to 34 i think. I don't think the van had a proper PDI tbh.

If your only gripe is that the washer bottle is too small and doesn’t have a low-level warning light, then I think I can put up with that.
I wonder if the same issues about the drivers seat ring true with the MPV versions? I’m assuming that the seats from one to the other would be a straight swap, whether it was Vauxhall, Peugeot, Toyota or Citroen?

I’ve got connect limited , very disappointed the new one is a going to be a re badged stty VW , Maybe I’ll change mine sooner for the last of the genuine Ford and keep it .. If your only gripe is that the washer bottle is too small and doesn’t have a low-level warning light, then I think I can put up with that.

I have googled, and messaged a couple of dealers but not really had any response.
Looking at the passenger version, it seems very keenly priced, especially against the Caddy it is based on, and seems to have loads of useful features as standard.
