You Cant Beat A Good Governor

I purchased a 2015 Plate LWB Mercedes Sprinter Dropside from Mercedes Truck And Van Coventry some years back and this vehicle at the time of purchase was showing 85,000 miles . It was considerably higher mileage than I would normally purchase but our needs were immediate and the vehicle being from their own Lease Stock had always been serviced rigorously using only Mercedes Parts . In other words it had never been outside the Dealership Network and had only one Company owner . The vehicle had also been fitted with a Governor from new and had never been above 60mph .
Some years previously I had one of these Governors removed electronically using the Mercedes Star Machine and it was the biggest mistake I made as I was continually plagued with problems thereafter . This time however , I left things as they were and its now approaching 210,000 miles and apart from one Injector completely trouble free . I have kept servicing her every 5000 miles using only Mercedes Parts religiously changing the oil and I simply cant fault the vehicle which leads a hard life on various Building sites . Recently I approached the same Dealership looking to buy a less than 50,000 mile version and they are like gold dust apparently . My tip to everyone is to do as I have done and leave the Governor in place , along with regular Servicing using Mercedes Parts these vehicles simply run forever .
