Finally got C provisional... but not C+E?

After what has seemed an eternity, I notice that DVLA have this morning updated my entitlements to include C provisional. It has taken ages because some prescribed medication set off a medical klaxon at DVLA, and they wrote to my GP surgery for more information. Unknown to me, the GP surgery sat on that letter for seven weeks before I realised what had happened and complained to them.

Now I'm a little worried because my updated entitlements don't mention C+E, which I will want to do. I'm worried that the timing of my application may have messed things up.

I applied back at the beginning of October 2021, before the rule change enabling you to go straight to C+E. At the time I applied, you couldn't apply for C+E provisional; I believe it was an automatic additional entitlement when you passed the C test.

Now that they've changed the rules, are you now meant to apply for C+E provisional specifically, or is it implicit when you apply for C provisional?

I hope I haven't missed out on getting C+E provisional entitlement due to the timing of my application. Or is it still the case that you can't apply for C+E provisional? Will I still be able to do C+E directly with what I've been given?

Isn't the C provisional now also a C+E provisional as you no longer have to take the C test first?

I hate to say it but as you ve put you applied before the changes, i think you ll have to ring and see waht they say.
