Keep reading about delays to trucks at Dover and dig a little deeper and the same is true in Calais, but what about other ports?

Depends over what sort of time period you're talking. I'm often near Holyhead and never see or read about any delays.

In respect of freight?

Container freight is delayed at every major port.

It's arguably not as bad as it was, but there are still big issues.

Dover tends to get hit by everything going when it comes to freight traffic.
Bad weather ,all sorts of disruption from the french in Calais, all the new rules after Brexit ,Covid checks , then one of the companies withdrew their ferries from service at another port and transferred everything to Dover. It was for unaccompanied trailers which can slow loading at the ports .
The port of Dover is extra busy on certain days of the week as the ebb and flow of European freight enters then exits the country . At these times the system is often at or near to capacity .
