Towing light trailer commercially with Hilux
Discussion
I'm in the early stages of a new start up and am looking for some clarification about the towing rules.
My current Hilux is ideal - comfortable, reliable, cheap to run, plenty of space for tools and is obviously capable off road.
I also need to transport a bulky but light (~100 kg) item which would fit nicely on a lightweight single axle flatbed trailer.
Weights as follows
Hilux MAM - 3210 kg
Ifor Eurolight MAM - 750 kg (unladen 200 kg)
I'm obviously ok for the B+E element but what's the situation with tachographs etc?

The load carried on the trailer is what I'm installing at the customers address and doesn't fit into the exemption categories sadly.
I wonder if there's a downplating option that might work or does it go on the mam of the hilux - 6000+kg.
Seems ridiculous needing to comply with tachograph regs to tow what is effectively a camping trailer a couple of times a month but I guess I might need to.
