Evening all!

Does anyone have any experience on these.. they fit the bill quite nicely for me. Models that fit my budget I’m looking at are between 08/13, ideally LWB dual liner sport spec.

What sort of MPG to expect, ride comfort?

Rust, rust and injectors. Not sure if sorted by this age or not.

Been running a brabus sport swb for the last couple of years for my wife’s car. We average 30mpg between us, that’s a mix of her doing ‘normal’ driving (bit of stop start and a motorway commute and me driving like I stole it.
If I drive back from our caravan (static so not towing) and stick to less than 80 I can get 42mpg. It pulls really well and can humble most rep mobiles. I really like it.

Rust was cured after 06/07 facelift

Injectors as long as you're not an idiot and sort them when you hear them puffing you'll be fine

It is worth checking the glow plugs aren't snapped - although mine has 3 snapped and starts fine even in the winter

I have the extra long wheelbase and average 27 when sitting at 77 mph

They can have electrical problems and having had one I had to call 6 electricians before I could find one who would work on it, most as soon as they heard Vito pretty much hung up

I had one in 2019, hand on heart the best van I’ve ever had and I may get another next year. I’ve also had 4 VW T5s a few transits but the Vito despite being rough on the outside was a great van.

Rust was solved on 07 onwards, mine was a 57 plate that had a hard life but was rust free.

Oil cooler I’m sure can leak and it is an involved job getting to it as it’s in the V of the engine. Glow plugs as mentioned can break.

I found mine done around 22-23 in town, not great, but on the flip side it would also do 100+ mph with ease.
