Expired licence and CPC
Discussion
So my photo card licence expired in 2019 and for C+E expired in 2015. I never even started my CPC course as I last drove in 2014 and it wasn’t needed.
I’ve looked online and there doesn’t seem to be any courses available. I’m aware they’ve extended the validity because of Covid.
Now I want to convert it to an Irish licence as I’m heading back there soon but I can’t do it until I have CPC or a tacho card which is expired too.
So what are my options for obtaining CPC. Do I just do it in Ireland once I renew it?
Cheers

Book CPC as soon as you can, the extended validity is for current holders updating their training. Yours will obviously be a new driver, chances are you won't get a course for 6 months but you might get lucky
I passed my truck licence in late 90s so I have acquired rights, so no need to do the initial stuff just refresher courses. Also I can’t get my tacho card until I’ve renewed my licence!
We use EDRTT. They have online courses every single day and you can normally get on a course the next day or the day after. My only advice is make sure you have zoom and test its fully working before your CPC and also make sure you are not late, even 0801 and you are off the course...

Also don't forget the rules have changed now and you have to do each module.
