For anyone who uses ATFs be aware that DVSA are now checking date codes on all tyres - not just steers.
If they cant see the date code as 2 tyres are face to face its an advise, same for drives >10yrs. Steers are PG9... for those who are not aware (I guess everyone is aware these days).
Something else to be aware of, the tester wont get in the cab for 8 minutes due to covid. So if you are waiting on the bay I advise you open both doors, with the windows down and get out. You also must not have the a/c or heating on. Turn the fan off.
I was on a test last week and this was not an issue and was not mentioned, however today I was on a test and the tester refused to start the test for 8 minutes and was not in the best of moods as a result!
Also I was told today only 2 people are allowed on the bay which is tester and driver. So if you have a seat warmer, as I have in the past, you cant do this any more - again a covid thing.
