Anybody know what date the 10+year old tyre ban is coming in or when it came in ?

I can find loads of consultation stuff and that its got a 3 month period to allow people to sort out new tyres but nothing on the actual date of implementation.

I agree with it for the record, I have one lorry here that will need one new tyre possibly if its in already. I'm a bit annoyed about that though as i had a pair fitted 6 years ago and they were both new but one is much older and was obviously stock that had hung around !

Well intentioned but misguided. I wouldnt want old steers, but 'new' remoulds can have been to the moon and back!

I'd prefer to see remoulds banned on steeraxles and the age of first use tyres set at 15 years if I'm being picky but it's the govt. We can't expect them to get it right straight away.

The legislation has not been finalised yet but the latest update I had from an OTC email was legislation is going through this winter. I guess it will be March 2021 for the actual change over date.
