2004 iveco eurocargo e75 tector starting problems
Discussion
Hi, can someone please help! my truck was spiking into red and overheating, I stopped pulled in waited for temp to drop, after 20 min it dropped and drove home and it stayed at 80 for the 20 minute drive home, was diagnosed with a head gasket problem after the resovoir had little bubbles while idle, so I had it replaced, the old gasket had failed, checked the block before hand and put new gasket on, had it all put together and it just won't start, (it aways started on first turn every time) is there anyway the mobile mechanic has put the injector rail on wrong? It's cranking but just not starting, I watched him opening injector nuts separately and little bubbles then fuel flow coming out, but not squirting out, Does this model have high or low pressure pump? I'm at a loss any help would be great??? This forum been a great help in past reading other people's truck problems. Thanks
I had a 2002 one of these that just suddenly wouldn't start ( I had done the head gasket but that was a couple of months previously and it had run since) Anyway I could get it to go if I pumped the manual fuel pump for the filter whilst cranking it, turned out the injector pump drive had sheared which is quite common apparently.
Thanks for reply, turns out the injectors were dodgy also, so had them replaced, it started up but the first injector sounded like it was hydraulicing, almost like a knocking noise so we took it out and gave it a couple of cranks to clear, put injector back on started up but was a bit of spluttering and not full power, took it for a few mile drive and by the time we got back it sounded like it was back to the way it was before any problems started, turned ignition off and wouldn't start just cranking, I will get someone to crank it while I pump the manual fuel pump. Cheers
