We have a 10-15 year old Nissan 2.5 tonne gas forklift. Its annual inspection has thrown up a couple of torn rubber boots over the tilt rams. Trivial to replace if you can get the parts... but google is failing me either for parts manuals (i.e. part numbers) or parts suppliers in the UK. Naively, I thought I could get hold of a parts manual, google for part numbers, and order online...!

I could go to the supplying dealer for an engineer call-out, but that will be a big fee for undoing six screws and a jubilee clip on each side. Similarly, there are umpteen sites that want to sell me a PDF that purports to be a service or parts manual, but PDF manual sites always have that whiff of scamminess to them.

Any recommendations?

Can whoever did the annual inspection not source the parts and fit them?

Have you tried eBay for a parts manual?

You have not said which model you have but there are several manuals on there (hard copy, not PDF versions) although some are silly money but some are only £15. Even if it was more it would be useful if you were going to keep your lift for several more years.
