Hi guys,

I’ve been used lorry shopping today and struck a deal on an Axor, assuming I can independently confirm it’s a Euro 6 truck.

It says BlueTec 5 on the cab, which made me think it’s Euro 5 but the dealer was adamant it’s Euro 6. I’ve looked up the cut off dates and it’s a 14 plate so it seems it should be E6. Does anyone know a way to confirm? Or maybe it must be E6 to get a 14 plate?

Many thanks

Thanks Saleen, it comes back as ULEZ compliant so I think it must be Euro 6?

That is my understanding, I checked my '12 plate Astravan and that isn't complient so if I drive into the zone it will cost me £12.50 a day

Sorry I'm late but this one https://www.hpi.co.uk/content/diesel-news-the-futu...
is a bit more accurate. The TFL one doesn't use emissions, just age of vehicle. If they start checking at a later date there will be a lot of pissed off owners

The tfl checker is useless and only goes by year registered. My works van is a 66 plate and 2016 was the year euro 6 engines were being fitted but I know for certain mine is a euro 5, but tfl tell me I am compliant!
I can see a lot of miss informed drivers getting fined!

Aren't the fines generated by the registration plate?

Axor?

Yuck. I’m guessing you’re not going to be driving it? Cheap nasty things.

“Result not available”

I think that checker will be for cars though, as the dates given in the guidelines are for car Euro standards

Works for vans so I guessed would bee ok for heavies. Can you get a copy of V5 & check emission levels?

I believe it to be Euro 6 and gave them a cheque for it yesterday, so I hope it is!

I’ll have a look at documents when it gets here

Bit late jumping on the thread as the deal is done, but a Bluetech 5 is Euro5 & Bluetech 6 is Euro6
Clue is in the title!

Is it new or old shape?
