4.25t payload bonus
Discussion
heard recently than government has passed that alternative fuel 3.5t vans now can run at 4.25t, but still driven on b {car licence} but biggest bonus is no o licence or tacho required.Electric vans{ not much use} and cng or lpg vans qualify for this, apart from iveco daily 3.0 petrol{ runs on cng gas too} though local Iveco dealer did't even know this model was available. This payload bonus will make vans/tippers etc much more useful as payload on 3.5ton is't great.
Not seen that, but so many regs relate to the 3.5t cut off ref O licence, tacho, 90km restricted & LEZ zones, etc that it's an odd one.
Ah quick Google hmm interesting

Many 3.5 tonners can be uprated already but they then require to be fitted with a tacho and run an O licence and speed limits .
Their was rumours of everything over 2 ton gross going onto tacho, this is getting more common throughout Europe.
Many of the large heavy duty looking Transit /Iveco /Renault type vehicles are plated up tp to 6 ton .
