VW T6 Transporter Kombi BIK Tax warning!

Hi, following on from Coca-Cola's unsuccessful appeal against the HMRC's ruling that VW T5/6 Kombi's are now classed as a Car for BIK purposes (N.B. not VAT purposes!), I have very reluctantly handed back my company T6 SWB Kombi Highline 150 which is a massive shame as I loved it!

Interesting that they predict the Double Cab pickups as being next in the firing line. That'll upset many!

Into a BMW 330e so all is not lost on the fun front, just next to useless as a family vehicle!

Is this likely to mean that there will be a drop in prices for new / nearly new Kombi’s as one of their key benefits - cheap BIK for a multi use work / family wagon will be gone?

Been looking at them as a private buyer for a while.

And most likely the Plug-In Hybrids after that.... I think the days of having any kind of company vehicle as perk are numbered. Some of our guys are already getting out of it.
