Hi Folks

Looking to replace my wife's 61 plate Transit Connect. We bought the current one at 18 months old using a loan but looking at the contract hire costs with maintenance they're working out a better way to do it.

Ford have offered £264 + VAT with 8 months upfront for a LWB 210 Trend with full maintenance over 48 months and 20,000 miles. With the original purchase cost, maintenance, tax & tyres the current one has cost around £15k + vat over the 5 years & is worth around £2500k so not much in it.

For an extra few quid she'll get a brand spanky new van and no hassle. So I'm convinced it's the way to go but what I don't know is where is the best place to go for a vehicle, this quote is from Ford so I 'm assuming there's probably better deals out there.

Anyone have any recommendations or comments on whether the deal is competitive?

Cheers

James

See if the dealer will match the best deal on there, usually can save a couple of hundred on admin fees that way.

Depends what it'll be used for, when handed back repair costs could be significant if it has had a hard life.

There's hard and what's on the BVRLA commercial lease guidelines, you'd be amazed how much damage is deemed acceptable, especially in the load area.

Other half has a lingerie business so it's not likely to get too damaged - mostly boxes of lacy things!
