what to buy ;)

hi all
I'm thinking about buying a defender 110 HT as i need a vehicle that can carry all my tools whilst still being able to fit my mountain/ diatribe in the back also. but before i start going to look at some defenders i was wondering if any of you guys would know of another vehicle similar to the defender in terms of an off road commercial vehicle that has a hard top so its out of the rain and sights of other people,

basically looking for a pickup/offroad with a hard top

i also trying to stay aways from getting a van i can

any advice would be much appreciated thanks.

How "off road" do you need to be

Ford ranger with a hard top would be my choice

Or a shogun van, or even a normal shogun and rip out seats

Defenders are good if you want a "hobby" and are full of character, but they are uncomfortable at times also they are very high risk of being nicked

Everyone round here (cotswolds) who used to drive a defender for work use now drives a Dmax.
