2017 ranger tyre pressures
Discussion
I’m currently running them as delivered at recommended pressures for laden weight. The tyres are obviously wearing faster in the centre as you’d expect. I noticed it early on and tried adjusting the pressures to the lowest recommended and also part way between. I drive solo mostly and it’s barely used to carry more than my bike.
When on the lower pressure the ride was between terrible and dangerous. It would spin up everywhere and be all over the place with no difference in driving style.
It drives fine at the higher pressure(iirc there’s 10lb difference)but is wearing the tyres faster.
Totally different trucks but on my L200 the drop in pressure made it behave much better on road.
It’s leased so tyres are in the deal but 15k seems a bit rich? What’s others experience of lifespan on tyres on these?
L200, admittedly lighter managed 32k on a full set.
