Hi guys, I’m trying to replace a broken stereo in my daf45 fa 1996, but the power to the wires is 24volts and it is supposed to be 12. I’ve stripped the dash off today thinking there must be a dropper but can’t see one so that leaves the relay or the pcb board behind the clocks? Do they control the voltage? Also the cig light is 24 aswell and is supposed to be all fuses are good, please help

Not the gauges ,I would think there is a dropper ( little square box) , but if not they are cheap enough
just make sure it is the dual type with ign feed and battery so the radio memory is kept when you switch off the ignition ...

A few years back, I worked with a fleet of Dafs that had 24 volt radios as factory installed!
You should fit a 24 to 12 volt dropper.
