Hi, does anyone know anything about this new spec other than it is coming soon?

Really after prices & dates...

VW website is very scant about it and also dealers know nothing too!

Just about to order a T6 & interested in this...

Thanks!

Sorry cannot answer your question, but now that petrol engines appear to be available throughout the T6 range, I just wonder if you have either driven, or decided on the petrol version?

I recently rented a T6 diesel. Probably the most car like van to drive, but the engine noise in the cab, and the very restricted rev range of diesel engines, were about the only downsides for me. Tyre noise was loud on coarse road surfaces, but that can sometimes be improved with different tyres.

Sorry, never been in a petrol one. I do 30k miles a year so only ever looked at diesels. Ordered at end August & delivery due in December & that's for a regular Highline one, not the "Edition" Spec which is still "Coming Soon..." rolleyes

I'm on the verge of getting a T6 LWB Kombi and chucking a load of extras at it, but this ruling is concerning me -

Would love a Petrol T5, they used to do them in T4 and T5 versions but mainly left hand drive. My T5 is brilliant in every-way apart from the noise of that diesel engine. It makes sense to have the pulling power of diesels, but as petrol turbo engines seems to have similar torque ratings then this doesn't seem to be such a big issue.

The T6 TFI engine is quite tuneable, apparently it's not too different from the Golf R engine.

I'd still take the torque and mpg from a diesel though.
