Need to replacing an ageing and decaying MWB Sprinter, before theres nothing left of it.

Are the newer Sprinters and Crafters as bad? Not looking new, 1-2 years old.

How about the Transit LWB, do they still rot before your eyes?

Any other recommendations?

I've been sitting in a newer Iveco Daily dropside for a while now, my boss is a big Ford fan and reluctantly picked this up when his Ford dealer wouldn't give him a decent deal on a Transit chassis. I must say, out of the Sprinters & Transits we run, the Iveco beats them both hands down for me. Ours is a dually crew cab, when running light it is a bit of a pig but I must say, drives like a lorry, however these heavy duty Iveco chassis handle weight better than any 3.5ton van I have driven, we've put... considerably more, than we should have in the back of it and it just eats it up.

One of our guys is ex-Tesco delivery driver and he had the Iveco and said it's a cracking van and handles the weight well. Just never been a fan of them. Might have to take a look.

I was impressed with the current Renault Master and Vauxhall Movano (both the same van I believe). No idea what they're like compared to other vans in terms of reliability but they are nice to drive for a big van and the interior seems quite hard-wearing and well laid out.

I own an Iveco Daily XLWB. Bought secondhand about 6 months ago. Pleased so far. Plenty of room inside. We can even get 16' lengths of timber in it.

If rot is the big issue, apparently Fiat Ducato / Citroen Relay / Peugeot Boxer are all properly galvanised. They are also a smidge wider. I drive a Lo-loader Boxer and it's alright. All vans seem to drive pretty similarly, it's all about the connectivity these days innit?
