That would entail a massive investment in camera systems. Most smart camera systems are on motorways or city road systems .
No excuses for getting caught really,but many van drivers have not a clue of the limits for their vans .
We have a known dual carriageway in my area that is a hotspot for camera vans ,it does catch a lot of vans that are unaware of their lower limit.
I do wonder if they pursue the hoards of foreign vans that use the road (A2 into and out of Dover).

Bugger !!!! so now we have 50 limit for LGVs we are going to have timid toad the van driver with his optomistic speedo doing 45 to hold us up as well as the OAP style 40 mph crew so 44 tons can do 50 on a A road but a poxy transit is the same
