what do they tell you?

Well it has the 1.8 90bhp diesel engine, not sure about the T230 bit...

Max GVW of 2300kgs I think. Highest you will see is T350 for 3500kgs

Highest will be T430.. 4300kg mgw

First 2 numbers will be power output, then T followed by the gross weight.

Ah ok, guess I always thought T350 was max as that's the highest GVW you can drive on a post 97 licence. Guess the 430's are just rarer because of this

Yes, a 430 will be a very rare beast. Will most certainly be fitted with a tacho, and probably be a twin wheel truck.

I think some of the 90s ambulances were 230 models. (3.9 GVW)

A very rapid piece of kit ,eats tyres if driven enthusiastically ,fab for long distance European runs ,pain in the butt around town with a manual box .
