Washing cab curtains

The old daf is due a pre spring clean was going to take the curtains out and put them though the washing machine
any advice ??? or should I throw them and get some fancy ones with tassels that make the cab look like a bordello???

If they are anything like the usual DAF curtains they will either shrink or fall apart .
One set of ours ended up with a 12" gap in the middle of the screen .
Get some run up in a decent material and get them lined ,also add a couple of feet added to the width and length .

Thanks good advice , will leave alone for now and get some repacements ....

I put the ones from my old iveco in the washing machine, and they cleaned up pretty good. Should have seen the colour of the water in the machine. Bleurggh!
