Seen a couple of these monster rigs near Geneva recently transporting pre-cast concrete elements for what looks like a bridge.

Flippin' long! I can see some sort of umbilical between the front and rear and assume that the rear part has lights (doh!) and one would hope it can be braked but can it also be steered and all with one driver up front??

Its all electronic now, the steering is done by sensors on the 5th wheel telling the rear which way to turn.

They brought some of the big wind turbines through the village where I live. Came with a Police escort & they looked very similar to the picture but the bit at the back (dolly?) had a bloke on steering just the back bit. It was fascinating to watch - clearance was very tight in places!
