More to the point what size of engine?
I have a satellite installation business and have treble ladders, roof ladders, 5 boxes of materials, heavy duty brackets, drills, meters and other General bits and bobs, I bought a little Suzuki 1.3 van but it's obviously under powered, what size van should I look at, I would like a caddy but they are too expensive

Vivaro / Trafic / Primastar SWB. Loads of room for kit, economical, quick, can get into 'car-sized' parking spaces, not paying a premium for a VW badge. My Dad's neighbour has been installing satellites and aerials for years, he was originally a Sky installer but then went freelance, has kept the same van throughout ('04 plate I think). Still going strong even though the post '06 ones are supposed to have improved gearboxes.

+1I run 3 Vivaro's ....get the Sportive, Bluetooth, alloys , good looking and professional, always getting comments on how clean and business like mine look.
Transit. Number one seller for a reason. Get the parts everywhere and everyone can fix 'em, can always sell them when they're old and you think it's knackered. Ex bt ones are cheap from auction and have perfect service history.
Negatives - gear leaver cables can need replacing on a hard used van if its an 06-12 version.

pug expert L2 ,2L not the 1.6 , its not until your stood next to it you get its a soddin big van , 46.somethingorother mpg on a long run , expect the window regulators to turn to crap , stron version and pug ugly fart verson also for cheap money
T5 vw but expect to pay the earth , 2.5 is the dogs but ££££ , drives great , loads of toys can be added , just that dam price as a hurdle
vito but the highest BHP one you can find , well known faults with cable gearchange and injector issue means the new ones arnt worth alot due to a crappy rep but there sorted , fast , reliable and nice enough to drive , brabus if your flush
Transits are a pile of crap , not worth having , they simply arnt built to the standards of old and expect lots of breakdowns , the connect does sod all to the gallon and thats before the gearbox , turbo , back axle , handbrake and just about everything else issues
viv`s are good , loads to choose from and quick

Ive got an 11 plate Transit and a new one coming next month! Swb high top for me, rwd and 140bhp. Its constantly runs at least 3t and never flackers! Lots of people say they are rubbish but percentage wise (considering how many sold) they are better than most!! Mine has needed a rear hub seal under warranty, only other things are service items!! Mate runs a fleet of Mercs - utter rubbish!! They all go back to the dealers at least 3 times when new!!
I also tow the racer with mine and it pulls trailer no problem! Thats with van still loaded too. If you want.to tow be careful what you buy. Many of the frenchy type vans have less payload than you'd expect...
